The Hino J08E is a 7.7-liter inline 6-cylinder diesel engine used in medium-duty Hino truck applications such as the Hino 338. Known for durability and steady performance, the J08E platform is designed for commercial delivery, vocational, and regional hauling operations.
Available in EPA04, EPA07, EPA10, EPA13, and EPA17 configurations, these engines feature electronic controls, turbocharging (TC), charge air cooling (CAC), EGR systems, and later models equipped with DPF and SCR aftertreatment. Hino J08E engines are commonly offered in run-tested and fully inspected condition for direct replacement use.
