Cummins ISB 5.9 Engines

The Cummins ISB 5.9 is a 5.9-liter (5,883 cc / 359 cu-in) inline six-cylinder, four-stroke, water-cooled, turbocharged diesel engine. It was manufactured by Cummins from 1998 through 2007 and is known for its durability and widespread use across commercial and industrial applications.

The ISB 5.9L engine features a cast-iron engine block with 102.0 mm (4.02 in) cylinder bores and a 120.0 mm (4.72 in) piston stroke. It operates with a 17.2:1 compression ratio and is equipped with a cast-iron cylinder head utilizing a single overhead valve (OHV) camshaft design with four valves per cylinder, supporting efficient combustion and reliable performance.
